Tom Holland has become the highest-grossing actor in Hollywood history following a hugely successful year at the box office.
The actor has moved ahead of Zoe Saldana and Scarlett Johansson after starring in two of the biggest films of the summer, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has earned $2.45 billion worldwide, while Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has brought in $1.68 billion.
The success of both films has pushed Holland’s total worldwide box office earnings to around $15.5 billion.

That puts him ahead of Zoe Saldana, whose films have earned around $15.46 billion, and Scarlett Johansson, whose films have brought in approximately $15.40 billion.
Holland’s record comes after a particularly busy year for the actor, who has appeared in two of the biggest blockbusters of 2026.

The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, has become the director’s highest-grossing film, surpassing the box office performances of his previous major releases including The Dark Knight, Oppenheimer and Inception.
Holland has also continued his role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, adding another major Marvel release to a filmography that already includes several of the biggest-grossing films of all time.
The actor has also shared the screen with his wife, Zendaya, across several projects, including both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey.

Holland has previously spoken about how much he admires Zendaya’s approach to acting, particularly her confidence and willingness to make bold choices with her characters.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the world premiere of The Odyssey in July, Holland was asked what he had learned from working alongside her.

He said: "To be confident and be bold. She makes big choices when she plays characters."
"She's not afraid to create the characters and she does it in a way where they feel like real people. She makes big, bold choices. I think there are a few actors who can do it as well as she can, and I love watching her do it."

Zendaya has also praised Holland’s approach to his work, particularly his dedication and professionalism on set.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: "I've learned so much from him but to me, it's just his work ethic. No matter what, he always gives so much to whatever it is, even if it's promoting to cast the crew."
She added: "He makes sure he remembers everyone's name, shakes everybody's hand in the morning. That hard work, that dedication to your crew is so important."
