The unexpected appearance also caught the attention of content creator Joe Daymond, who shared a cheeky observation about the singer's laid-back look.
“Justin Bieber rocked up to a random bar up north looking like a dude that drives a Nissan Skyline,” he said.
Bieber has also shared photographs from his trip to New Zealand on social media, including an image of himself sitting at the pub's piano.
The visit offered a glimpse of the singer enjoying some downtime away from the spotlight, with his casual appearance making the surprise all the more unexpected for those in the pub.
The Duke of Marlborough Hotel is located in Russell, in the Bay of Islands, a popular tourist destination in New Zealand's Northland region.
Bieber has been keeping fans updated on his travels through social media, with the piano photograph giving followers a look at his impromptu stop.
