The €27,000 question just got a major update, with two brand new words revealed live on air, bringing listeners one step closer to cracking one of the station’s most talked-about competitions.
After days of speculation and a weekend of voting, Colm Hayes and Lucy Kennedy handed control over to the listeners, hiding the remaining mystery words inside balloons and asking the audience to decide which ones should be revealed.
When the moment finally arrived on Tuesday morning, the tension didn’t last long. Lucy stepped up first, popping the red balloon to reveal the word “AT”, before Colm followed with the blue balloon, revealing “YOU”.
With those two additions, the question now looks like this:

HOW MANY TIMES *** YOU *** AT ***.
We already knew the first three words, How Many Times, along with the fact that the full question is made up of eight words, and that the answer is TWO. Now, with five words revealed, just three remain unknown… and the pressure is firmly on.
The decision to reveal more of the question didn’t come out of nowhere. It followed last week’s elaborate April Fools prank, which saw Colm and Lucy convinced, live on air, that the jackpot had been won, only to discover the entire thing had been staged by the team behind the scenes.
Rather than let it go, the pair decided to get their own back, and in the process, gave listeners a serious advantage in the game calling it, The Prank, The Revenge!
Despite all the twists, the competition is very much still alive, with a massive €27,000 up for grabs. Players have five chances every day to win, three times with Colm and Lucy in the morning, once with Trina Mara, and once more with Damian Farrelly in the afternoon.
With more of the question now revealed than ever before, listeners are closer than ever to figuring it out… but can anyone finally crack it?
