On Thursday afternoon Niall Boylan discussed a news story in which a couple have been given community service in lieu of a prison sentence after they were caught falsifying documents to obtain a mortgage. The couple said that they knew they could repay the mortgage but didn't think they would be approved by the bank initially. The judge noted that she could understand their situation in wanting a roof over their families head but could not condone what they did.
Have you any sympathy for family if they falsify documents to get a mortgage?
