Jervis Shopping Centre has confirmed the opening of the first American Eagle store in Ireland. This will open on Thursday August 5 at 9am.

The American apparel brand is famous for its active and leisurewear and recognisable hoodies. This will be a welcome addition to Dublin City's iconic shopping centre.

The shopping centre is hoping that that this will be the start of a long journey for the brand on Irish soil. There are plans for future locations and availability through retail partners in Ireland who share the brand's values.

They have welcomed new food, fashion and lifestyle stores over the past few months.

American Eagle had also posted this very cryptic message on their Twitter recently.

"A strong vote of confidence"

“American Eagle’s choice of Jervis Shopping Centre as its first European location is a strong vote of confidence in the Centre and retailing in Dublin City as a whole. American Eagle’s opening will strengthen further the Centre’s fashion mix credentials", said the manager of Jervis Shopping Centre, Derek McDonnell.

"We already have some of the best international & national high-street fashion and lifestyle brands under our roof including the largest JD store in Ireland as well as Dublin City’s only Stradivarius and Bershka stores, so despite the unforeseen challenges that COVID has presented to retail over the last year, we are now trading with a really strong tenant mix and a very optimistic outlook".

"Celebrates self expression"

Director for American Eagle Sunil Shah also said, "We are very proud to open our first brand concept store in Ireland".

"American Eagle honours individulaity and celebrates self expression. We believe in the power of REAL people and know the Irish market will embrace American Eagle with open arms".

Keep an out on both Jervis centre's and American Eagle's various social media accounts.
