The Royal family have drawn up a rota to keep The Queen company as she gets used to life as a widow.

Queen Elizabeth II first met her husband Prince Philip in 1934 when she was just a child and from the age of 13, they began exchanging letters.  They announced their official engagement when she was just 21 in 1947 and he has been by her side ever since.

The Queen won't be unveiling her usual birthday portrait as she turns 95 this Wednesday.   She spent an hour in the castle grounds on Saturday talking to Prince Charles, Prince William and Harry after her husband's funeral before going their separate ways.
