Sinead O'Connor Cancels Upcoming Live Performances At Galway

Sinead O'Connor has pulled the plug on all upcoming live performances for 2022, including a scheduled gig at the Heineken Big Top as part of Galway's International Arts Festival.

Confirming this news in a statement, Sinead O'Connor's management have announced that the singer will not perform in 2022, as she continues to grieve for her son Shane, who died earlier this year.

While stating that this was a very difficult decision, they also insisted that Sinead O'Connor made this decision, in order to focus on her mental health and well being. 

The management team also paid homage to the copious messages of support that O'Connor has receivied throughout this undoubtedly difficult time. 

They also added that ticketholders will be contacted by their ticketing agent directly.

We would like to respectfully announce that due to continuing grief over the tragic loss of her beloved son Shane earlier this year, Sinead O'Connor will not be performing live in 2022", Sinead O'Connor's management team wrote. "This has not been an easy decision for Sinead but a decision she has had to make for her own health and wellbeing at this time". 

"We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Sinead's worldwide agency ICM who have handled this with the utmost respect and dignity and have worked tirelessly". 

"We would also extend our gratitude for the continuing support and understanding of local and international promoters.

 They added, "Thank you also to Sinead's friends and fans whose support and understanding we hold in the highest esteem throughout this period. The love being shown has been a source of great comfort and peace for Sinead".
