The Crown have confirmed a launch date for their latest series.

The popular Netflix series about the British royal family will be launched on November 9. This was confirmed by Netflix's Tundum global fan event, which broadcasted and showcased films and series from the streamer.

The latest season of The Crown will see Elizabeth Debicki star as Princess Diana, who was previously played by Emma Corrin, while Dominic West will play the role of Prince Charles, previously played by Josh O'Connor. Queen Elizabeth will be portrayed by Imelda Staunton, who replaces Olivia Coleman.

Lesley Manville will portray the role of Princess Margaret, with Jonathan Bryce playing the Duke of Edinburgh.

Filming for the Crown was temporarily suspended following the death of Queen Elizabeth as a mark of respect.

It had been initially planned to call a halt to production of this series following the conclusion of season five.  However, the show's creator Peter Morgan has insisted that it will be extended into a sixth series.
