It was recently reveled the Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy was the voice actor for the Ukrainian-language version of the popular Paddington Bear film.

Before migrating to politics, the 44-year-old president was both a comedian and an actor. While his role in the film was general knowledge to the Ukrainian public, it remained an unknown fun-fact to worldwide audiences, whose eyes are on the leader after Russian forces invaded Ukraine last week.

Zelenskyy’s role in Paddington was revealed by actor Hugh Bonneville, who also starred in the film, on Twitter.

In it, he wrote: "Until today I had no idea who provided the voice of Paddington Bear in Ukraine.

"Speaking for myself, thank you, President Zelenskyy.”

The tweet included a link to a clip of the Ukrainian-language version of Paddington, where Zelenskyy can be heard voicing the cuddly character.

Bonneville followed up the tweet with a link to a Unicef appeal "or those across the world who cherish the values of Paddington".
