Disney has given fans plenty to look forward to after revealing a huge slate of upcoming films, sequels, live-action adaptations and returning TV shows at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
The event, which took place in Anaheim, California, saw Disney reveal new details about some of its biggest franchises, with everything from Frozen and Ice Age to Bluey and The Princess Diaries making an appearance.
There were also some major casting announcements, first looks and release dates revealed during the showcase.
Here are some of the biggest sequel, remake and returning franchise announcements from D23.
The Queen of Genovia herself, Anne Hathaway, took to the D23 stage to confirm that production is still underway on The Princess Diaries 3.
However, fans should not expect to see the film just yet.
The team behind the highly anticipated sequel is taking its time to make sure the movie is right and delivers exactly what fans want.
No further plot details or updates were revealed during the event, although Anne Hathaway received the honourary title of 'Disney legend.'

Disney gave fans a major update on Frozen 3, including new concept art, plot details and a brand-new song.
The film is set to hit cinemas on November 24, 2027.
Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad reunited on stage to discuss the upcoming movie, with fans also getting a glimpse at some of what Anna, Elsa and Olaf can expect in the next instalment.
The film will explore Anna's honeymoon, while Olaf is also set to find love.
The stars even treated fans to a sneak peek at one of the new songs from the film.
Disney has officially confirmed that Zootopia 3 is in the works.
There are currently few details about the third instalment, but the announcement confirms that fans will be returning to the world of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde for another adventure.
The Parr family are coming back for another superhero adventure in Incredibles 3.
Disney shared new details about the upcoming Pixar film, which is set to hit cinemas on June 16, 2028.
This time, the focus will shift towards the younger members of the family as Violet and Dash begin to explore their potential as the next generation of Supers.

The next Ice Age adventure also got an update at D23.
Ice Age: Boiling Point is set to arrive in cinemas on February 5, 2027.
Disney did not reveal any major new details about the film during the event, but fans now have a confirmed release date to look forward to.
Marvel also revealed more about its upcoming X-Men reboot, including a major casting announcement.
Sadie Sink has been cast as Jean Grey, while Adam Driver will play the villainous Mister Sinister.
Inde Navarrette will take on the role of Rogue, while Christopher Abbott has been cast as Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X.
The new generation of X-Men will mark a major new chapter for the iconic Marvel team.

One of Disney's most anticipated live-action adaptations also received a major update.
Disney showed fans a new look at the live-action Tangled, including characters such as Rapunzel, Flynn Rider and Mother Gothel.
The film is currently scheduled to hit cinemas on March 31, 2028.
Everyone's favourite Australian puppy is making the leap to the big screen.
Disney shared an all-new sneak peek at The Bluey Movie, giving fans a glimpse of Bluey and Bandit playing a game of keepy uppy.
The upcoming film is expected to be one of the biggest family releases in Disney's upcoming slate.

Following the success of the live-action Lilo & Stitch, the story will continue with Lilo & Stitch 2.
The sequel is expected to arrive in cinemas on May 26, 2028.
Maia Kealoha will return as Lilo, while Chris Sanderson will once again provide the voice of Stitch.
Sanderson is also set to direct the sequel.

The Simpsons are heading back to the big screen.
A follow-up to 2007's The Simpsons Movie is officially on the way, with the new film set to hit cinemas in September 2027.
Fans at D23 were also treated to some very early footage from the upcoming movie.
Miguel's story will continue in Coco 2, which is set to arrive in 2029.
The new film will take place during Miguel's teenage years and will see him team up with one of the most recognisable characters from the original movie, Ernesto de la Cruz.
Disney shared new details about the story at D23, giving fans a first look at where the sequel will take the beloved Pixar characters.
It's not just Disney's movies that received major updates.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 will premiere on Disney+ on November 20, 2026.
The new season will see Percy focused on two major goals: “Find Annabeth. Stop the Titans.”
Fans will have to wait a little longer to see how the next chapter of Percy's story unfolds.
A much-loved 1990s comedy is getting another chapter.
Romy and Michele's High School Reunion is officially getting a sequel, bringing Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow's iconic characters back for another adventure.
The original movie was released in 1997 and has gone on to become a cult favourite.
Fans were given a glimpse of what is to come, with both stars returning to their famous roles.
Ryan Gosling is heading into the Star Wars universe.
Director Shawn Levy appeared on stage alongside Gosling at D23 and confirmed that the actor will star in the upcoming film Star Wars: Starfighter, set for release in May 2027.
Gosling will play Kade Auberon in the new movie.
The actor was even presented with a black jacket featuring a white skull on the back during the event.

There was also major news for Star Wars fans as Disney revealed a new trailer and release date for Ahsoka Season 2.
The second season of the Disney+ series will premiere on January 20, 2027.
The new season will continue the story of Ahsoka Tano following the events of the first season.
D23 made it clear that Disney is continuing to lean heavily into some of its most recognisable franchises, with audiences being promised more familiar characters, returning stars and stories that have already built huge fanbases.
From Frozen 3 and Incredibles 3 to Coco 2, Zootopia 3, Lilo & Stitch 2 and Ice Age: Boiling Point, the upcoming slate is packed with sequels.
There are also major live-action projects in the works, including Tangled, while The Princess Diaries 3 is continuing its journey towards the big screen.
With new Star Wars, Marvel and Disney+ projects also on the way, D23 has given fans a very busy few years to look forward to.
