Tyler, whose birth name was Gaynor Hopkins, died aged 75 in a hospital in Portugal on July 8.

She had been living there with her husband Robert Sullivan and passed away near their home.

Her body was subsequently returned to the UK, where she is being laid to rest in Wales.

The public procession through Mumbles took place ahead of the private funeral, giving fans an opportunity to say goodbye to the Welsh music icon.

Tyler had experienced serious health difficulties in the months before her death.

She had been admitted to intensive care after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery and was placed in an induced coma.

Despite her health struggles, Tyler remained one of the most recognisable Welsh singers in the world.

Her career reached new heights in the 1980s when Total Eclipse Of The Heart became a global phenomenon.

The song reached number one in the UK and US charts and remains one of the best-known power ballads of all time.

Her album Faster Than The Speed Of Night, which featured the iconic track, also reached number one in the UK.

Her entry, Believe In Me, finished in 19th place.

Fans have continued to pay tribute to Tyler following her death, remembering the singer for her unmistakable raspy voice, international success and long career in music.
