Salma revealed that the newborn is the "fourth living generation of Francois" and shared the affectionate nickname she has given him.
She calls the baby "Panchito".
"He seems to love it, and I cannot love him more," she wrote alongside the video.
In the clip, Salma can be seen speaking to her grandson in Spanish as she introduces him to her followers.

The arrival of her first grandchild marks a new chapter for the actress, who has spoken openly in the past about her large blended family.
François Jr. is the eldest of her husband François-Henri Pinault's three children from previous relationships.
Salma is also stepmother to Mathilde and Augustin James.
She shares her 18-year-old daughter, Valentina Paloma, with François-Henri. The couple welcomed Valentina in 2007.
Salma and French businessman François-Henri married in 2009, having first begun dating in 2006.

The actress has previously spoken about how becoming a stepmother gave her a bigger family than she had originally expected.
"I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to," she told Red magazine in 2017.

"My body, as a miracle, had one. The huge blessing I've had is that my husband has three other children. So I have four. And they are all so different."
Now, Salma has welcomed a fifth generation into the family, with her grandson François already receiving a very special nickname from his new grandmother.
