A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a car in Co Cork.
The incident occurred on the N71 at the Caha Pass at approximately 2.55pm on Thursday afternoon.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's body has been removed to the Cork University Hospital mortuary where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
The road was temporarily closed for a technical examination, and has since been reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of the collision to come forward.
Road users travelling on the N71 between Glengarriff and Kenmare at Caha Pass, Co Cork, between 2.15pm and 2.45pm on Thursday, 20 August 2026, who may have camera or dash-cam footage are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
