The teenage son of former Real Housewives star, Kim Zolciak, has been charged with sexual assault, after being accused of forcing himself on a female student.
Kroy 'KJ' Biermann Jr, has been charged with a number of offences including aggravated sexual battery, child molestation, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment. He was indicted by a Georgia grand jury this week.
It was reported by PEOPLE that Mr Biermann was indicted on three other counts of sexual battery against a child under the age of 16.
It has been alleged that Biermann Jr took a 15 year old girl into the changing rooms at Life Time Fitness gym, before physically restraining and forcing her to engage in a number of sex acts. Following this, the young girl went to Children's Healthcare of Atalanta where she was examined by a nurse, and a sexual assault kit was taken.
The alleged offence took place on April 23.
Biermann Jr who was arrested in Alpharetta, Georgia last month (August 17), remains in custody, and will appear in court on September 9. The Alpharetta Police Department also confirmed that he has been charged as an adult.
He has denied the charges brought against him.
Following his arrest, Biermann Jr's mother, Kim Zolciak gave a statement to US Weekly, where she called the accusations made against her son: “nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling”.
“He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged", she said. “My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed".
Zolciak who starred in Real Houswive's between 2008 and 2012, also claimed that no DNA belonging to her son was found on the alleged victim, adding that “false accusations can have devastating consequences” for both the accused and survivors of such crimes.
Kroy Biermann Jr is one of six children shared by Kim and her ex husband, Kroy Biermann Sr, a former NFL player, who played for the Atlanta Falcons from 2008 to 2015, before a brief spell with the Buffalo Bills in 2016.
The former couple filed for divorce in August 2023 after 12 years of marriage.
