Reports have suggested that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is to be come the next James Bond.

It has been reported that the Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age Of Ultron star is to take up the iconic part, succeeding Daniel Craig as the suave 007 agent, with a source saying, "Bond is Aaron's job, should he wish to accept it".

Reports have also stated that the Bond films' producer Eon Productions, are also preparing to shoot a new 007 film, with a script even being worked on.

"The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back", the source said.  "As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement".

Calling Taylor-Johnson "an incredibly talented actor", the source also claimed he is the "perfect person to play Bond and will pick up well from where Daniel Craig left off".

Speculation has been mounting for years, regarding who would replace Daniel Craig following No Time To Die in 2021, with Idris Elba tipped by many for the role.

Last September, Elba ruled himself out of the running, citing "disgusting" comments about his race for putting him off.

"Those that weren't happy about the idea made the whole thing disgusting and off-putting because it became about race", he told the SmartLess podcast last year. "It became about nonsense and I got the brunt of it".

If the rumours are true, Aaron Taylor-Johnson would follow on from Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Craig in starring in the role, with Connery starring in the first Bond film, Dr No, in 1962.

William Morris Endeavour, Aaron Taylor-Johnson's talent agency, have yet to comment on the matter.
