Man Arrested After Woman’s Body Found in Dublin Apartment

Following the discovery of a woman's body at a Finglas apartment this morning, a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

At approximately 6.15am gardaí entered a fifth floor apartment in the Charlestown area of Finglas. They discovered the body of a woman in her 30s, which appeared to display fatal injuries.

A man in his 30s has now been arrested on suspicion of the woman's murder. He is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The woman's body remains at the scene as gardaí await the arrival of forensic specialists. A post mortem will be carried out later today.

Gardaí carried out door to door interviews with tenants of the apartment complex, which has been sealed off.

The Garda Technical Bureau will carry out a technical examination of the scene today.
