Brad Pitt To Drive At British Grand Prix For Upcoming F1 Blockbuster

Brad Pitt is to drive at this year's British Grand Prix to film for his upcoming F1 blockbuster.

The film, which is being directed by Joe Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), will also be produced by British driver Lewis Hamilton, with his Mercedes Team to design the bodywork for Pitt's car.

It has been reported that Brad Pitt will take to the Silverstone track in between practice sessions of the Grand Prix, which takes place over the weekend of July 8-9. It is understood that no other cars will be on the cuircut while Pitt is driving.

"I am focused on making sure the script is where it needs to be, and making sure we have a great and diverse cast", Lewis Hamilton said of this film. 

He continued, "Joe’s focus is to make sure we are as embedded into this sport as much as possible and it is current, and for me it is to make sure that it is authentic, and that it is believable, and also to provide a view of racing from a different perspective than you might see on TV". 

"I am spending a lot of time right now helping Joe and the team get the script right, and that is an amazing process and something I am really enjoying". 

It has also emerged that Apple have purchased the rights to this movie, with a reported budget of $140million.
