Kevin Costner And Christine Baumgartner To Divorce After 19 Years Of Marriage

Double Oscar winner Kevin Costner and wife Christine Baumgartner have announced they are to divorce.

This was confirmed via a statement shared in People magazine, stating that designer Christine Baumgartner filed for divorced against Costner, after 19 years of marriage.

"It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action", the statement read. 

"We ask that his, Christine's, and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time". 

The couple who tied the knot in September 2004, share three children together, with two sons Cayden aged 15, Hayes 14, and daughter Grace aged 12. Kevin Costner also has four other children from previous relationships.

Kevin Costner boasts two Oscar victories for Best Director and Best Picture for his work on 1991 film Dances With Wolves. He is also known for his role in the film The Untouchables alongside Sean Connery, along with the TV series Yellowstone.
