Rihanna Is Officially The Most Followed Woman On Twitter

Rihanna has become the most followed woman on Twitter.

The 'Umbrella' singer reached the milestone, after surpassing singer Kat Perry. The Barbados native now boasts the fourth most followed Twitter account overall, with 108,278,326 followers on the site. 

Up until now, Katy Perry held the title, with 108,258,344 Twitter followers. 

Rihanna whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty lands in fourth place, behind Justin Bieber who has 113,171,252 followers, and former US President Barack Obama who is second with 132,941,739 followers.

At the time of writing this story, Twitter owner Elon Musk was the most followed person on the platform, with 134,341,896 followers.

However, Katy Perry claims bragging rights over Rihanna, with her 2015 performance at the Super Bowl averaging 121 million views, with Rihanna's averaging 118.7 million.
