Tom Hanks To Be Star Attraction At Next Month's Dalkey Book Festival

Tom Hanks will address next month's Dalkey Book Festival.

The actor who boasts two Oscar victories in an illustrious career, has been asked to address the event, where he will talk about his transition from picture to page, including his debut novel The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece, with a copy of this novel being made available to each ticket holder at the event.

Running from June 15-18, The Dalkey Book Festival will also including U2 lead singer Bono and physician Brian Cox in its line up, along with some of the world's foremost thinkers and writers, including Sebastian Barry, John Banville, Deirdre O'Kane, Dylan Moran, Roddy Doyle, Liz Nugent and others.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (3 May) at 10am from dalkeybookfestival.org.
