70 thousand more are in a position to adopt its services

NBI is rolling out high-speed fibre broadband under the Government's National Broadband Plan.

Those who are now connected are guaranteed minimum speeds of 5 hundred megabits per second.

The plan has been described by those in charge as a 2.7 billion euro investment in rural Ireland.

CEO of NBI, Peter Hendrick, says they're reaching milestones every month:

"We are connecting homes all over then country. It is a major achievement that we've now got almost 200,000 premises under construction. Over 70,000 of those homes can place an order and we are connecting just over 2,000 farms, business and homes across the country per month."
