Summer Arrives Late In Ireland As Met Éireann Predicts 26C Temperatures This Week

Met Éireann has predicted sunny spells for this week, with temperatures to soar to 22-26C, with tonight's weather to remain humid and warm.

The national forecaster has also predicted showers across the southwest, as the night progresses, with lowest temperatures to hit between 13 and 18 degrees.

Met Éireann have also predicted tomorrow night to be "warm and muggy", with temperatures to stay between 14 and 17c, remaining warm and sunny, with some scattered showers in the southwest and west of the country. Isolated showers may develop.

As a result of this warm weather, thundery showers are also expected.

It will remain humid for Wednesday, with temperatures to remain between 22 and 26 degrees, dropping to 13-18 degrees overnight, with some patchy rain and mist also expected.

Friday is expected to be cloudier, with scattered showers, with temperatures to remain between 19 and 24 degree, with warm weather predicted throughout the week.

According to Met Éireann, the weekend is to bring “some scattered outbreaks of rain, but warm or very warm sunny spells too".
