Wild Youth will be hoping to book a final place at the Eurovision Song Contest, as they represent Ireland in the first semi final tonight.

The Irish group will be the sixth act to take to the Eurovision stage at Liverpool's 'M&S Bank Arena' this evening, with their entry 'We Are One'.

Wild Youth will be performing alongside Malta, Norway, Portugal, Latvia, Switzerland, Serbia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Israel, Sweden, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Finland and Croatia.

"We are feeling excited, and a little nervous, but good nerves, I think", Wild Youth lead singer Conor O'Donohoe said ahead of the semi final. "We can't wait to get on the stage, and we just want to do everyone in Ireland proud".

Ten countries will qualify from each semi final, and you can watch both of them on RTÉ television this week.

The Grand Final of the competition will take place this Saturday (May 13).
