Supermarkets are encouraging their patrons to respect their fellow car users and not to park in a parent and toddler space, if they do not have children with them in the car. A spokeswoman for Tesco Ireland said: "Parent and child parking spaces are designed for extra room and convenience for parents who have children with them when they are shopping.
