Gardaí Renew Appeal for Information Regarding Recent Assaults

Galway Gardaí have renewed their appeal for anyone with information regarding a pair of recent assaults in the city to come forward.

An investigation is currently underway following an incident on Bank Holiday Monday, June 7th. Between 3.45am and 4.05am, two men were walking home from Eyre Square when they were violently assaulted at Bridget's Place in Woodquay.

Both men received facial injuries as a result of the assault. The injuries are not life threatening.

Witnesses told Gardaí that two men with Dublin accents were involved in the attack. The men may have been part of a larger group.

Gardaí are also seeking assistance in their investigation into a second assault which occurred at Williamsgate Street at approximately 12.30am on Sunday, June 13th. The victim was a male. The attacker was seen fleeing towards Cross Street.
