Britney Spears & Sam Asghari Split Up - Reports

US singer Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari have split up after 14 months of marriage, according to reports.

The couple who had tied the knot in June 2022, first met on the set of a music video for Spears' track 'Slumber Party' in 2016. Asghari proposed to the pop star in September 2021.

However, rumours of marital problems began have recently been splashed across the US tabloids, with the pair being recently spotted not wearing their wedding rings in public.

While they were engaged, Spears and Asghari had announced they were expecting their first child, however they later revealed that they suffered a miscarriage.

Sam Asghari who had supported Spears during her mental health struggles, and her campaign to end her conservatorship with her father Jamie, donning a Free Britney t shirt at the court cases, filed for divorce. 

Spears has yet to speak about the separation on social media, with her memoir 'The Woman In Me' set to arrive in October. 

Representatives for the pair have yet to comment on recent events.

Britney Spears had been previously married to Jason Alexander for 55 hours in 2004, and Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. She has two children with Federline.
