Electric Picnic Confirm More Acts And New Area

Electric Picnic have confirmed more acts and a new area ahead of next month's festival.

This year's festival will feature the new area, Croí, which has been billed as  "a harmonious hub of music, movement and meditative activities". Croí will include two stages Croí and Crescent Earth, among wellness, workshops and more.

The following line up for Crescent stage was also confirmed: Shampain, Lolz, John Daly, Little O, Naive Ted, Pablo Santo, Tamen, Moving Still B2B Junior Spesh, P Disco, Eliza B2B Maeve, Executive Steve, Big Cheeks, Nkechi, Sectionfive, Jwy, Saturn Returns and special guests.

The following acts will also take to the Croí stage: Remembering De Dannan, Hothouse Flowers, Scullion, Imelda May (poetry), meltybrains?, Jafaris, Wallis Bird, Discovery Gospel Choir, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Cormac Begley, Strange Boy & Hazey Haze, Síomha, Rónán Ó Snodaigh & Myles O'Reilly, Donal Dineen, Bon Voyage, Sunil Sharpe, Leo Miyagee, Havvk, Your Cuz Marcus, The Bionic Rats, Sloucho, Rita Lynn, Malik and special guests.

News of the new area comes just weeks after the organisers also confirmed that Paolo Nutini would take over Lewis Capaldi's headline spot, with the 'Someone You Loved' singer taking some time away from touring. 

The festival which will once again kick off at Stradbally, Co Laois, running from September 1-3, is sold out.
