Taylor Swift has been named a billionaire, according to Forbes magazine.
The Love Story singer has accrued $1.1billion (€1.2 billion base earnings from her Eras Tour, and the worth of her back music catalogue.
The magazine has said that Swift's vast wealth emanates from roughly $500 million from royalties, and touring. A similar amount also comes from the worth of her musical works, as well as an extra $125 million from her property portfolio.
Swift features in this list along with Bernard Arnault owner of French luxury brand LVMH, in claiming the number one spot in the business magazine, with $233 billion.
"Swift is the first musician to hit 10-figure status solely based on her songs and performances", Forbes magazine stated.
The singer also became the first artist to surpass one billion dollars in revenue following her recent run of shows, which began in March. She also broke the Guinness World Record for the highest grossing music tour.
Swift's concert film, which was based on this tour, also generated Vue International's highest ticket sales at the UK, and Ireland box office on the opening day. She also topped the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry’s (IFPI) global artist chart for a fourth time last year.
Fellow singer Rihanna also made the list due to her beauty brand, while rapper Jay Z also became hip hop's first billionaire in 2019, based on his collection of fine art, along with music, shares in companies and drinks brands.
Elon Musk chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX, is named in second spot on this list, with $195 billion. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos comes in third, with Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg in fourth, with Oracle software founder Larry Ellison concluding the top five.
