On Thursday afternoon Niall Boylan spoke to Bernadette. She told Niall that her son Sean was beaten up on the 21st of September in Limerick because of his sexuality.
Bernadette told Niall that her son was out enjoying himself on the Saturday night when he went outside a bar to look for his friends. Outside he was the victim of an unprovoked attack by a group of men who got out of a car and started calling him derogatory names aimed at his sexuality. They then beat him up leaving him with severe injuries and gashed on his face. Sean was taken to hospital and has not left his house since as he is terrified of being beaten up again
Listen back to his mother Bernadette telling Niall Sean's story.
