Investigation Launched After Two Bodies Found in Co. Clare

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of two bodies in Co. Clare on Thursday.

Gardaí were called to a domestic residence in Killinaboy at approximately 2:30pm where a man and a woman (aged in their 50s) were found dead. 

The two were known to each other.

The scene is currently preserved for an examination by the Garda National Technical Bureau.

It is understood the bodies remain at the scene and the coroner has been notified

The services of the Office of the State Pathologist have been requested and a post mortem will be carried out in due course.

A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the family of the deceased.

A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed and an Incident Room has been established at Ennis Garda Station.
