Dave , AJ Tracey And More Pay Tribute To Jamal Edwards Who Died Aged 31

Rappers Dave, AJ Tracey and others paid tributes to the late Jamal Edwards who passed away unexpectedly aged 31. Edwards was a well renowned broadcaster, author, DJ and founder of SB.TV. 

This sad news was confirmed by representatives of Edwards yesterday evening. 

This comes after Edwards had attended the Brit Awards last month, while he also performed a DJ set last Saturday (February 19). 

Following this news, artists like Dave, AJ Tracey, Dua Lipa and more paid tribute to Jamal Edwards. 

"RIP Jamal Edwards, West London legend status", AJ Tracey wrote. While Dave wrote, "Thanks for everything". 

Dua Lipa wrote via her Instagram stories, “Heartbroken to hear this news. RIP Jamal. My thoughts are with all his friends and family and the many people’s lives he has touched and brought together. Gone way too soon". 

The MOBO Awards stated that they were "deeply saddened" to hear about Edwards' passing.

“As the founder of @SBTVonline, his groundbreaking work & legacy in British music and culture will live on. Our hearts and thoughts are with his friends and family", they added. 

London Mayor Sadiq tweeted, "British music and entertainment has lost one of its brightest stars. My thoughts are with Jamal’s loved ones at this terribly sad time". 

The cause of Edwards' death has yet to be confirmed.
