Musician Grimes claims that her “Semi Separated” partner billionaire Elon Musk lives below the Poverty line.

Musician Grimes claims that her on again off again or “Semi Separated” partner billionaire Elon Musk lives below the Poverty line.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the “Oblivion” singer spoke about the frugalness with which Elon lives his life.

“Bro does not live like a billionaire... Bro lives at times below the poverty line. To the point where I was like, ‘Can we not live in a very insecure $40,000 house? Where the neighbours, like, film us, and there’s no security, and I’m eating peanut butter for eight days in a row?’”

She added that Musk ‘wouldn’t even get a new mattress’.

She claims the reason for the limited lifestyle they were living was due to the high costs of running the Space X program.

"The Mars project is hard. There’s no income for it. There’s no way for it to make money,” said Grimes, who added that “It’s for the benefit of humanity, and it’s dangerous and it’s expensive, and people are like, He’s hoarding money! No, he’s spending everything on R&D.”

Back in May 2020, Musk made press when said he was downsizing his life and would be selling off his lavish assets and is now living in a small home. Musk put all seven of the houses he owned on the market which reportedly sold for a total of $130 million. Not a bad chunk of change.

He is currently believed to be living in a $50,000 tiny prefab home, which he rents from SpaceX.

The house, which is around 400 square feet, is located in Boca Chica, Texas, where SpaceX produces its Starships.

According to Forbes, His net worth hit a high of $340 billion in November 2021. As of Feb. 28, 2022, Musk's net worth had increased by $39 billion during the last 12 months.
