Johnny Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez has dismissed rumours that she is dating her client, branding the rumours "sexist".

In fact, the attorney even went as far as revealing that she has a boyfriend and is "very happy" in her relationship. She also added that it is rather unethical for a lawyer to get involved with their clients romantically.

Ms Vasquez became a very popular figure in the public eye, having represented Johnny Depp in his recent defamation laswuit against his ex wife Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp sued Ms Heard over and article published in the Washington Post in 2018, where she claimed that she was sexually and violently abused by her ex husband Depp. The couple divorced in 2017, havining married in 2015.

However since the trial, supporters of Johnny Depp have shared memes via social media, which portray Vasquez as Depp's Thor. They have also posted videos on TikTok set to romantic music of the pair holding hands and talking closely.

Speaking in a recent interview, Camille Vasquez was quick to quash these rumours, adding that they were "disappointing to hear".

“I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job", Ms Vasquez told People.

“It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny – who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now – that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear".

"What do you want me to say?"

While she admits that she "cares very deeply" about her clients “and we have obviously become close but when I say we, I mean the entire team, and of course that includes Johnny", Camille Vasquez added, “And, I’m Cuban and Colombian. I’m tactile. What do you want me to say? I hug everyone. And I’m not ashamed about that".

"My work is my love", Vasquez added. “when I love, I love really deeply”

Following her success representing Depp, Camille Vasquez has since been promoted to partner in her law firm Brown Rudnick.

"I am delighted that Brown Rudnick has given me its full vote of confidence by having me join the partnership", Ms Vasquez said of the promotion.

"I'm proud of the uniquely talented team I've had the privilege to lead, which exemplified teamwork and collaboration, and I look forward to continuing to represent Brown Rudnick's culture of excellence",
