Taylor Swift's Cat Is Reportedly Worth £80 Million

Taylor Swift owns a cat which is worth £80 million ($97 million), according to reports.

The cat which is a Scottish Fold companion named Olivia Benson, is the third richest pet in the world, according to a list released by The Ultimate Pet Rich List. 

Olivia Benson got her name from the Law & Order: SVU  character, played by actress Mariska Hargitay. She finished ahead of Oprah Winfrey's dogs Sadie, Sunny, Lauren, Layla and Luke, who are worth £25 million ($30 million) collectively.

“With a whopping $97 million net worth, Olivia has found success outside of the world of Instagram influencing", the website said. 

“The Scottish Fold earned her fortune starring alongside her owner in several music videos, has crafted her own merchandise line, and has had cameos in many big-budget ads, including for the likes of Diet Coke and Ned Sneakers". 

The cat is no stranger to the limelight, having appeared in her owner's music video 'Blank Space'. 

She also starred in an AT&T advert alongside Swift.

The honour of top spot on the Rich List went to a German Sheperd named Gunther IV, owned by the Gunther Corporation, and worth a reported $500 million. 

Nala Cat was named at number two. Worth a reported £83 million ($100 million), the cat also boasts 4 million followers on Instagram.
