Jean-Claude Van Damme will join Patrick Kielty as a guest on tonight’s Late Late Show.

The action movie mega star is in Belfast launching a new brand of Irish whiskey, Old Oak, which he co-owns.

The Hollywood legend has gone into business with Derry native Kevin Carson on the new venture.

Van Damme shot to international fame with the 1988 martial arts classic ‘Bloodsport.’

He then went on a run of success with action classics like ‘Kickboxer,’ ‘Double Impact,’ Timecop’ and ‘Street Fighter.’

The Late Late Show made the announcement on Instagram with host Patrick Kielty showing off his own fighting skills.

Known for his karate chops, the beloved Belgian black belt, known as ‘The Muscles from Brussels’ showed off his acting chops in 2008’s JCVD, in which he played a fictional version of himself.

Richard Corliss of Time magazine called his performance the second best of the year, behind Heath Ledger’s Oscar-winning turn as the Joker in The Dark Knight.

Before taking up acting, Van Damme was a competitive kickboxer and a member of the Belgium Karate Team which won the 1979 European Karate Championship. He also competed in body building, winning the Mr Belgium title.

The Late Late Show airs tonight at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
