Mariah Carey's festive hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has hit top spot in the US Charts for the third year in a row.

Having reached 10th in the top 100 in December 2017, and topping the charts for the first time in 2019, the song has now become the first track to hit top spot in the Billboard Hot 100 in the US on three separate occasions. It also dropped out of the charts completely between each.

This also means that Mariah Carey has had tracks at the top of the Billboard Charts for a combined total of 85 weeks!

Appearing in the cover of NME magazine this week, Mariah Carey discuses her Christmas Apple+ TV special. It is called Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continue and was released on December 3.

She also revealed that she has reached out to Britney Spears over the "horrific treatment" she received in the press.

Carey said, “I think everybody on this planet deserves to be free and what [the press] did to her, what I saw, was horrific".

“So I reached out to her through a mutual friend because I wanted her to know: ‘Guess what? You’re not alone", she added.

Mariah Carey also released another festive single this year featuring Khalid and Kirk Franklin "Fall In Love At Christmas".
