Cork’s vibrant culinary scene will take centre stage once again as the Cork on a Fork Festival returns from August 13th to 17th, promising five days of food, flavour, and festivity.
The festival celebrates the region’s world-class food heritage, bringing together local chefs, producers, and venues in a packed programme of events. This year’s line-up includes everything from pop-up dinners and street feasts to farm visits, tasting masterclasses, and cooking demonstrations.
Festival highlights include:
The VQ Shared Table – a spectacular outdoor long-table dinner on MacCurtain Street for 450 guests, featuring menus created by 20 local businesses.
Farm to Fork at Glenbrook Farm, where chefs Pamela Kelly and Chris Braganza will serve a zero-mile menu inside a working cow shed.
Supper by the Fountain – a unique dining experience in the historic English Market, using only market-sourced produce.
Afternoon Tea on the Train, where FoodCloud chefs create gourmet dishes using surplus ingredients aboard a moving train.
A Producers Bus Tour offering exclusive behind-the-scenes tastings and stories from some of East Cork’s finest food producers.
Over 25 free cooking demos and talks will take place at Emmet Place over the weekend, featuring big names like Michelin-starred Takashi Miyazaki and household favourite Clodagh McKenna.
Organised by Cork City Council in partnership with Fáilte Ireland, Pure Cork, and local businesses, the festival also celebrates Cork’s legacy as a hub for artisan food and drink from spiced beef and seafood to craft beers and spirits.
With many events free and others ticketed (some already sold out), visitors are encouraged to book early. For the full programme, visit corkonaforkfest.ie or follow @corkonaforkfest on social media.
