The crash occurred on the N73 Mallow–Dublin Road at Kildorrery at approximately 7.25am.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been transferred to a local mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The N73 remains closed between Kildorrery Village and the R522 while Garda forensic collision investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene. Local traffic diversions are in place.
