Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with a firearm discharge incident in the Hyde Avenue area of Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick city, which occurred last month.
The arrests were made today, Tuesday June 10th, as part of an ongoing investigation into the incident that took place on Thursday, May 8th, 2025. The two individuals, one in his twenties and the other in his late teens, were taken into custody by members of the Limerick Crime Functional Area.
During the course of the operation, Gardaí also discovered suspected controlled drugs at a domestic residence. The substances have an estimated street value of more than €28,000.
The two men are currently being detained at Garda Stations in County Limerick under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
Investigations are ongoing.
