Ronan Keating has ruled out the possibility of Boyzone releasing new music or announcing a new tour.
The Irish boyband announced a one off show at London's Emirates Stadium next year, their first live performance since their run of shows at the London Palladium in 2019. They have also stated that former manager Louis Walsh will not play a part in this show, or take a cut of the profits. More on this here.
Speaking to media this week, Keating said: "This is not a reunion. We’re not making new music".
He continued: "There’s no new music and we’re not getting the band back together to tour the world".
“This is right now, it’s one show at the Emirates. If we add a night, amazing, it will be two nights at Emirates, but that will be it", he added. “We won’t be taking this show anywhere else in the world. We want people to come and see us at the Emirates".
Ronan, also ruled out heading out on tour with the group: "I don’t think we’re built for it anymore. We can’t do it, honestly".
Bandmate Keith Duffy added: “We’re not kids and his knees are gone.”
