The Grammy-winning singer returned at midnight on Friday, 9 January, unveiling the slick, disco-inspired track alongside a new music video. The song draws clear influence from Leo Sayer’s classic You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, blending glossy retro grooves with Mars’ trademark modern pop production.

The accompanying video sees Mars, dressed in a green suit, fronting a band made up entirely of versions of himself. The clip was co-directed by Bruno Mars and Daniel Ramos, continuing the singer’s hands-on creative approach to his visual projects.

I Just Might is the lead single from Mars’ upcoming fourth studio album, The Romantic, which is set for release on 27 February. Hence fans, and Billboard 100, dubbing this new phase of his career, his Romantic Era. The album will be his first solo studio project since 2016’s 24K Magic, which went on to win multiple Grammy Awards and cemented his position as one of pop’s most consistent hitmakers.

Mars confirmed the project earlier this month with a brief but impactful post on X, simply writing: “My album is done.” The message immediately sent fans into anticipation mode after years of waiting for a full solo release.

While he has not released a solo album in nearly a decade, Mars has remained highly visible in the music world. In 2021, he teamed up with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic, releasing An Evening With Silk Sonic, which dominated the Grammy Awards and produced chart-topping hits including Leave the Door Open.

More recently, Mars has continued to make an impact through major collaborations. He scored a Billboard Hot 100 number one with Die With a Smile alongside Lady Gaga, and his track APT. with BLACKPINK’s Rosé went on to top the 2025 year-end Billboard Global 200 chart.

Alongside the new album, Mars is preparing to take his music back to the stage in a major way. The 40-year-old will launch The Romantic Tour, his first global stadium tour, beginning in Las Vegas on 10 April. The run will cover major North American stadiums throughout spring and summer before heading to Europe, with dates confirmed in Paris, Milan, London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Madrid.

Support across the tour will come from Anderson .Paak performing as DJ Pee. Wee, along with RAYE, Victoria Monét and Leon Thomas appearing on selected dates.

With a new album, a fresh era and a massive tour on the way, I Just Might signals that Bruno Mars is stepping fully back into the spotlight.

Bruno Mars has said that he has put the finishing touches to his long-awaited next solo album.

The Grenade singer took to X/Twitter to confirm this news regarding his upcoming solo studio album, which will will mark his first record since he released the multi-Grammy award winning '24K Magic' in 2016.

Since then, the singer has joined forces with Anderson .Paak to form the duo, Silk Sonic, releasing the EP, 'An Evening With Silk Sonic' in 2021. He also teamed up with Lady Gaga to release the hit, 'Die With A Smile'.

He also joined forces with BLACKPINK's Rosé on their track 'APT'.

Now, Bruno Mars has confirmed that new full-length album is on the way.
