Irish pop sensation CMAT (Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson) has been forced to postpone her highly anticipated UK tour due to a medical emergency. The Dublin-born artist revealed that an infected wisdom tooth required immediate dental surgery, making it impossible for her to perform. She expressed deep regret over the situation, assuring fans that tickets will remain valid for rescheduled dates, with refunds available for anyone unable to attend.
CMAT’s journey to stardom began in Dublin, where she developed a unique blend of pop and country influences. Her breakthrough came with her debut album, If My Wife New I’d Be Dead, which earned critical acclaim and established her as a rising star in the Irish music scene. She has built a dedicated fanbase, particularly among the LGBTQ+ community, and continues to draw inspiration from her Irish roots.
Before her UK tour, CMAT had an impressive record of live performances. Her 2022 UK and Ireland tour included sold-out shows at venues like Manchester’s Gorilla and Dublin’s Limelight. In 2025, she expanded her reach with the Euro-Country Tour, featuring sold-out dates across the UK and Ireland, including multiple nights at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom and a performance at London’s O2 Academy.
Released in August 2025, CMAT’s third studio album, Euro-Country, marks a bold evolution in her style. The album explores themes of loss, identity, and society, blending catchy pop with introspective lyrics. Standout tracks like Take a Sexy Picture of Me and Lord, Let That Tesla Crash showcase her unique ability to mix wit with vulnerability.
Despite the setback, CMAT remains committed to her fans and her music. Rescheduled UK tour dates have been announced, and she plans to return to the stage once fully recovered.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to her upcoming performances in Ireland, including a headline show at Dublin’s 3Arena in December 2025, and major concerts at St. Anne’s Park in May and Virgin Media Park in June 2026.
