Harry Styles has defended the staging for his current world tour after some fans complained about obstructed views during recent shows in Amsterdam.
The singer is currently performing a 10-night residency at the Johan Cruyff Arena as part of his Together, Together tour, but parts of the elaborate stage design have sparked backlash online.
Some concertgoers criticised the huge walkways surrounding the stadium floor, claiming they blocked views of the stage for sections of the audience despite expensive ticket prices.
One frustrated fan branded the setup the “worst of all time”, while others complained they struggled to see the former One Direction star throughout the show.
Addressing the criticism directly during one of the concerts, Styles explained that the unusual layout was designed to make the experience feel more personal and immersive.
“The reason why we made the stage like this is because I wanted to be in it with you.”
“I wanted to be as close to as many of you as possible, because that’s what this tour is all about. It’s about being together, having fun together, sharing a moment together, dancing together, being with your friends, being with strangers, getting swayed with your friends, getting swayed with strangers.”

The singer continued by linking the concept of the tour to the themes behind the album itself.
“That is how I made this album and that is how I would like you to listen to it tonight.”
“Thank you for being here with us, thank you for coming back to stay with us, it means a lot to us, thank you so much.”
Despite the explanation, criticism has continued across social media platforms, with some fans insisting the staging negatively impacted the live experience.
One attendee complained on X that the towering structures surrounding the floor area created major visibility issues.
They described the layout as “offensive” and again labelled it the “worst of all time.”
Others, however, defended the design, arguing that the multiple runways allowed Styles to interact more closely with fans across the massive stadium and created a more intimate atmosphere compared to a traditional end-stage setup.
The Together, Together tour has been one of the most talked-about live productions of the year, with Styles leaning heavily into audience interaction and large-scale immersive staging concepts.

The singer has not indicated whether any changes will be made to the setup for future dates.
Earlier this year, Zayn Malik appeared to take a pointed swipe at former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles, making a tongue-in-cheek remark about “ticket prices” just days after Styles faced mounting backlash from fans over the cost of his newly announced shows.
The comment came during Zayn’s Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live on Wednesday night, where the singer briefly addressed the crowd before delivering what many fans interpreted as a not-so-subtle dig at Styles. Introducing the next part of his set, he joked: “Hopefully the ticket prices weren't too high... just saying.”
Swiftly moving on, he added: “Anyway, who wants to hear another song.”

The remark landed as social media continued to buzz with criticism aimed at Harry Styles, after pre-sale tickets dropped earlier this week for his upcoming seven-city global residency, Together, Together.
While Styles remains one of the most successful touring artists in the world, fans were quick to express frustration at what they described as “exorbitant”, “greedy” and “out of touch” pricing.
For the London leg of Styles’ residency, ticket prices range from £44 at the lower end to as much as £725 for premium VIP packages. Standing tickets are priced between £144 and £279, while seated tickets rise as high as £466.24, with VIP experiences costing from £468.85 to £725.
The scale of the prices sparked intense debate online, particularly among younger fans who have followed Styles since his early days in One Direction.
