Harry Styles has hit the Guinness World Record for the longest single run of shows as part of a Wembley Stadium residency.
Last weekend, the former One Direction singer finished up his residency after playing 12 shows at the London venue breaking the record in the process. This huge run saw Harry Styles and his tour surpass the previous record set by Coldplay of 10 shows at Wembley Stadium, at their Music Of The Spheres World tour last year.
The residency began on June 12, as part of his Together Together tour, celebrating his latest album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. It was only meant to last for six shows, but huge demand saw Styles add six extra dates to this residency.
Harry Styles and the tour crew were presented with the certificate onstage following verification by Will Munford, the official Guinness World Records adjudicator. Members of the wider team also received official certificates to recognise their contribution.
"The longest residency by a musician at Wembley Stadium during a single run is 12 shows and was achieved by Harry Styles (UK) at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, on July 4 2026", the official Guinness World Record title reads.
In a statement according to RTÉ, Will Munford added: "Wembley Stadium is one of the most iconic live music venues in the world, so to achieve the longest residency by a musician there during a single run is an extraordinary achievement".
"Harry Styles' record-breaking 12-date run is a testament to the scale, ambition and cultural impact of his live performances, as well as the incredible connection he has with his fans".
"It is also brilliant to see Harry and his team recognising the wider tour team with official Guinness World Records certificates, celebrating the huge amount of work that goes into delivering a record-breaking run like this. Record-breaking moments are rarely achieved alone, and this is a true example of what we mean when we say everyone can be part of it. We’re delighted to officially recognise this achievement and celebrate another major title for Harry".
Following this, Harry Styles was praised by his mother, Anne Twist on social media, saying that he is "the kind of man the world needs right now".
On Instagram, Twist shared a photo of Harry when he was a baby, held by his sister, Gemma, as well as photos of the pair on stage at Styles' final show at Wembley Stadium over the weekend.
"From this to this… What a weekend! Hard to get my heart in check".
"From stating back in 1996 that my little boy would end up on stage, doing what I had no idea, but his comedic timing, sunshine personality, and his beautiful soul was visible even then", she added. "How could I have possibly known then that he would break records doing exactly what he was put in this world to do, that he would grow up being the kind of man the world needs right now".
"I could not be prouder of you both, as humans, as siblings and as my babies", she added. "Knowing you are always there for me, but more importantly for each other… Well, that is my biggest achievement… and this is MY award".
