Imelda May has announced three extra dates in Ireland as part of his, Raised On Songs & Stories tour.

These shows will take place in the Summer, starting in Dublin's Vicar Street on June 9 and 10, before heading south to Live At The Marquee in Cork on June 12. They will be a series of intimate evenings, and will see May play stripped back versions of her back catalogue and favourite tracks, as well as her renowned poetry and storytelling.

Tickets for these shows go up for sale on Thursday, March 12 at 10am via Ticketmaster.

“Due to popular demand there’s some more dates coming. I’ve been asked back to Vicar St in Dublin and Live At The Marquee in Cork this June, it’s just gone mad! Everybody’s wanting to come to the gigs and I’m getting messages everywhere from people saying they’ve missed it and can we do some more. So we’re doing some more!", Imelda May said.

Imelda May had previously announced this tour back in October, which has already seen her perform in Kilkenny, Cork, Limerick, Ennis, as well as Dublin's Vicar Street. Other dates include Wexford, Castlebar, Galway, Letterkenny, Derry, Armagh and Drogheda.

I’m coming to you soon! 18 nights of an Irish tour. It’ll be an evening of songs, poems, stories, joy and beauty. This idea evolved naturally over the last couple of years. You see, when I write, produce and release an album I get so excited to perform the songs live that I fizz up and plan and rehearse gigs with such enthusiasm that I’m like a little thrilled whirlwind but too often I leave room for little else", May said when announcing these shows at the time.
