Taking place at Hyde Park, the outdoor spectacular will see Capaldi headline the iconic London venue today and tomorrow, July 12, with the livestream giving audiences everywhere the chance to experience the opening night.
A major production has been planned for the broadcast, with a 26-camera setup and drone cinematography being used to capture the full scale of the performance.
The livestream will also mark one of the rare occasions a BST Hyde Park concert has been broadcast globally, following landmark events including Live 8 in 2005 and Paul McCartney’s performance at the venue in 2010.

The announcement comes after Capaldi recently found himself at the centre of another memorable music moment, following England’s World Cup victory over Mexico.
The singer joined Rita Ora for a late-night celebration in a London pub after England’s dramatic 3-2 win, with the pair singing alongside fans into the early hours.
Ora shared footage of the celebrations, including the moment she reacted to Jude Bellingham scoring twice during the match by shouting "Yes Jude, yes Jude..."
The pair later joined supporters in singing football anthem "It's Coming Home" at around 2.26am, with Capaldi and Ora helping create a lively atmosphere after the final whistle.

They also joked around with each other by singing Ora’s hit I Will Never Let You Down, with Capaldi teasing her after she forgot the name of her own song.
Ora then performed Capaldi’s own chart-topping track Someone You Loved in an operatic style, explaining: "I forgot my own song because I was overwhelmed because I am around a superstar. I get very shy."
The following morning, the pop star admitted she was feeling the effects of the celebrations, revealing she had even gone to bed with her hair clips still in.
She wrote: "NOTHING beats a London pub game EVER…. It’s coming home!!! The fact I woke up with my hair clips still in and my hair has not moved says it all."

Capaldi’s Hyde Park show will now provide another major milestone in what has been a significant year for the singer, as he continues his return to the spotlight following his break from touring.
The free global livestream will allow fans who were unable to secure tickets to experience one of his biggest headline performances yet, while showcasing one of the UK's most popular live performers on an international stage.
