The tour begins in Kilkenny on April 24 and finishes in Cork on June 3. Along the way, Black will stop in Belfast (April 29), Dublin (May 9), Limerick (May 15), and several other cities. She’ll also play Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on May 30. Tickets for that show are €45 and go on sale this Friday.

In announcing the tour, Black said:
“I’ve been thinking about retirement for a long time and I feel the moment has finally come. This next Irish tour will be my last: The Slán Tour.
“It has been an incredible journey over more than 45 years, filled with highs, some challenges, and many memories I’ll always treasure. While it’s hard to say goodbye, I know it’s the right time to step away.
“To everyone who has supported me over the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also want to thank my loyal band—Bill Shanley, Pat Crowley, Richie Buckley, Nick Scott, and Liam Bradley—whose talent and friendship have meant so much to me. With them beside me, I want this last tour to be truly special. I hope you’ll join us for this farewell.”
Tickets for Mary Black’s Slán Tour go on sale Friday, September 12.
