Niall Horan has shared one of his biggest regrets when he set up home with his girlfriend, Amelia Woolley.

In a recent chat on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the former One Direction singer has revealed that he built an actual pub in the basement of his home in London, prior to meeting his long term girlfriend. The couple have been dating since 2020, before making their relationship official in September 2021.

But now that he enjoys the quiet nights in with Amelia, Horan admits that he regrets building this pub.

"I was a single bachelor in an apartment in London. We built a pub in the basement. I mean a pub, and it has to be the worst idea I've ever had", the Mullingar native said.

Explaining the reasons why, Horan stated: "Because pubs close in London at 11 o'clock. Last orders is 10:30am, there's no 2am finishes like here, right and it's just, I wonder where we're going next. So all of a sudden, I've got a house full of people, but I do have a little, kind of side entrance to the house that I can just kind of ferry people out the door".

While laughing, he added: "I'm actually pretty good at it. It's music off, lights on, on your way. The ignorant Irish kicks in".

On his relationship with Amelia, Horan described her as "a late addition" to a dinner party six years ago when they first met.

"It was at my house, and it was through a mutual friend...she was kind of a late addition", he explained.

When asked if this had been a set up, Horan said: "Never asked the question...But it definitely worked out in the end, whatever, whatever the plan was but you don't see those things as big deals. And then six years later... it worked out".

News of this comes as Niall Horan also spoke about his recent health issues, including the possibility of undergoing a double hip replacement in the near future. More on this story here.

The singer also recently announced two live shows at Dublin's 3Arena as part of his UK and European Tour, as he promotes his latest album, 'Dinner Party'. Find out more information on this here.
