It turns out that Pamela Anderson secretly sang the vocals on Mariah Carey's hit track, Loverboy.
The song, which was released in 2001, hit top spot in the Billboard Hot 100. According to record producer, Damion 'Damizza' Young, it was recorded by Anderson and Carey after the pair became friends in the early 2000s.
Speaking about the song, Young said: "So I go to the studio to finish up the recording of Loverboy, and Mariah says, 'Pam's coming by to do backgrounds".
He continued: "I'm a huge Baywatch fan, so I'm like, "Pamela Anderson's coming by?! Oh, hell yeah!" So the next thing I know, we're poppin' champagne, and she's like, "What do you want me to do?".
Elsewhere, Young went on to state that Anderson was a dream to work with.
"Pam Anderson can sing," he said. "And she's one of the smartest people I have ever met in my life. The dumb blonde thing is an act".
Earlier this month, Pamela Anderson claimed that certain publications about her life have been made without her consent.
In a recent interview, the Baywatch star spoke about how her life was depicted on TV, especially the 2022 Hulu series, Pam and Tommy, which explored her much publicised marriage to drummer Tommy Lee, as well as the distribution of their private sex tape in the 1990s.
Claiming that the series aired with her permission, Anderson said: “How can someone make a TV series out of difficult times in your life and I’m a living, breathing human being over here, hello".
Anderson went on to say that the distribution of this sex tape made her feel violated, and was one of the hardest periods of her life. The fact that this video was used for entertainment purposes, really irked the model. More on this story here.
Speaking of Mariah Carey, presenter Eamonn Holmes recently revealed that he stormed out of an interview with the singer, after she turned up to it four hours late.
“Bearing in mind I’ve been up from four o’clock that particular day so I’m going, ‘what the hell’s going on here’ so I said ‘right if she’s not here in the next 10 minutes I’m going", he said.“So she comes through the door, and she immediately lies down on the chaise-longue, and closes her eyes".
“And I said ‘what the f**k is going on here?", Holmes added. “They said ‘Ms Carey is very tired, she’s very tired, she’s been up from nine o’clock this morning", the former Sky presenter added. “I said, ‘she’s been up from f***ing nine o’clock I’ve been up from four!’ and so I walked over and lay down beside her".
