A Robbie Williams superfan who earned worldwide fame for appearing in Netflix's recent documentary about Take That, reunited with the singer on stage at Wolverhampton earlier this week.

This happened after Jemma Williamson had first appeared outside a Take That singing event more than 30 years ago in the hope of meeting her crush, Robbie Williams. Williamson who was just 14 years old at the time, caught the attention of the public after travelling from the Wirral to the event in Chester in the hope of meeting Williams.

Despite not being able to get inside the venue, Williamson stayed outside regardless, delivering an enthusiastic message on camera, begging for Robbie to call her, which subsequently appeared on the recently released Netflix series and went viral on social media.

During his live performance at The Halls in Wolverhampton this week, Williams invited Jemma Williamson to the stage to recreate the moment which brought her such fame.

“Please welcome Jemma from the Take That documentary", Williams said when introducing Williamson to the stage.

The former Take That singer then repeated that now famous line:  “Robbie’s my favourite because he’s got gorgeous eyes and a gorgeous body and he can call me any time".

Williams jokingly asked if Jemma had received any calls after the documentary aired, which prompted her to reveal that the number she gave in the 1990s no longer works. The audience were on their feet as they cheered the pair, who hugged, before Williamson returned to her seat.

Footage on Instagram even showed Williams trying to ring the decades-old number while watching the series, which gained 107,000 likes on the platform.

Jemma Williams who is now a nursery teacher and living in Wolverhampton, said: “I think it’s brought back a bit of nostalgia for everybody".

Having watched the documentary, Robbie Williams admitted that he was the villain of his own story, owning up to the fact that he was “the smuggest person that ever lived". More on this story here.
